|Limits||From Suncoast Parkway to US 41 at Ayers Road|
|Project Start||September 2019|
|Construction Cost||$20.2 million|
|Estimated Completion||Summer 2022|
|Contractor||Watson Civil Construction, Inc.|
This project will create a new four-lane roadway connecting CR 578 (County Line Road) to Ayers Road (CR 576) at US 41. Improvements include widening County Line Road between the Suncoast Parkway and the new Ayers Road connection.
As part of the new Ayers Road project, an 11-foot wide multi-use path will be built on the north side of CR 578 and the west and north sides of the new Ayers Road. The new multi-use path will connect to the Suncoast Trail.
New traffic signals will be installed at both intersections of Trillium Boulevard and Ayers Road and the intersection of Ayers Road and US 41.
The 2.9-mile project is just north of the Pasco/Hernando County line. It begins east of the Suncoast Parkway and ends at US 41 and Ayers Road in Masaryktown.
Construction is anticipated to finish the summer of 2022.
South section of Trillium Boulevard CLOSED
Trillium Boulevard is closed to all traffic at the County Line Road (CR 578) intersection (as of Tuesday afternoon, March 9, 2021). This section of Trillium Boulevard will remain closed until approximately Fall 2021 for the realignment of the southern end of Trillium Boulevard and construction of the Ayers Road extension (CR 576) to County Line Road.
DETOUR: All traffic in and out of the Trillium neighborhood needs to use US 41 (Broad Street) to access Trillium Boulevard via the New Ayers Road (CR 576) extension. Detour signs are posted along the detour route on County Line Road and US 41 to guide drivers. The traffic signal at Trillium Boulevard and Ayers Road has been activated to control traffic; be prepared to stop. Detour Map
NO OUTLET: The road will only serve as temporary access to the Trillium neighborhood -- there will be no connections to other roads until the full length of the new roadway is constructed and opened from US 41 to County Line Road. Until then, the only outlet from the Trillium neighborhood is from Trillium Blvd. going east on Ayers Road to US 41.
