This project is replacing the existing bridge on 9th Street South (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street South) between 6th Avenue South and 7th Avenue South in St. Petersburg.

Once completed, the new bridge will have three 11’ wide lanes with 8’ shoulders and 10’ wide sidewalks on each side of the bridge. The 42” sanitary sewer line, 24” and 8” water lines will also be replaced, as well as a new drainage system and a new street lighting system. Also, the pylons from the original bridge will be reinstalled on the new bridge.

This project is part of the FDOT's Off System Bridge Replacement program.
