About
This I-4 project is repaving the interstate's travel lanes, ramps and frontage roads between McIntosh Road (Exit 14) and County Line Road (Exit 25) in eastern Hillsborough County.
Construction activities are taking place during daytime and nighttime hours.
Work requiring lane closures will occur at night from 9:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
Occasionally, interstate ramps may close at night between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Please use caution when traveling through the work zone and remain alert for construction workers.
This project is expected to finish during early 2025.

Lane closures (westbound): Monday, July 29 through August 3 from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. -
Eastbound I-4 Ramps at Alexander Street (SR 39) Closing this Weekend
Tampa, FL - Beginning at 9 p.m., Friday, July 26, the eastbound I-4 ramps (entrance and exit) at Alexander Street (SR 39) will close until 5 a.m., Monday, July 29, weather permitting.
Eastbound I-4 motorists needing to access Alexander Street (SR 39) will have to exit the interstate using Exit 19, proceed south onto Thonotosassa Road, turn east onto Reynolds Street (SR 574), and continue east toward Alexaner Street (SR 39).
Motorists needing to access the interstate will continue north on Alexander Street (SR 39), turn east onto Sam Allen Road, turn south onto Paul Buchman Highway (SR 39A), and continue south toward the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp.
Electronic message boards and signage will assist motorists traveling through the area. Drivers should use caution while driving through the work zone and remain alert for construction workers.
