About

Two projects have been combined to be built under one construction contract:

  • Repaving 3.25 miles on US 41 between County Line Road and Bell Lake Road (project 441659-1-52-01).
  • Repaving 0.75 miles on SR 54 between US 41 and Knight Road (project 441658-1-52-01).

The improvements in this project include milling and resurfacing, pavement reconstruction, pavement markings, drainage improvements, pedestrian / bicyclist enhancements, signage, and sidewalk repairs.

Project Update
Paving on US 41 was completed in May 2025. Milling and paving operations on SR 54 began in May 2025.

Underground Repairs
During the project, voids were discovered under SR 54 just east of the Lowe’s / Village Lake shopping center intersection. These voids required extensive remediation work that included grout being pumped into the voids under some of the SR 54 travel lanes. Lane closures were needed for this work during daytime hours and one extended Friday night closure. The work to repair the voids was completed on May 17, 2025.
