About

Two projects have been combined to be built under one construction contract:

  • Repaving 3.25 miles on US 41 between County Line Road and Bell Lake Road (project 441659-1-52-01).
  • Repaving 0.75 miles on SR 54 between US 41 and Knight Road (project 441658-1-52-01).

The improvements in this project include milling and resurfacing, pavement reconstruction, pavement markings, drainage improvements, pedestrian / bicyclist enhancements, signage, and sidewalk repairs.

Project Update
Paving on US 41 has resumed. Work has been added to make underground repairs on SR 54 (this work is anticipated to begin in April 2025). Milling and paving operations on SR 54 will begin after the underground repairs are completed, likely in spring 2025.

Underground Repairs
Voids have been discovered under SR 54 just east of the Lowe’s / Village Lake shopping center intersection. These voids require extensive remediation work that will include grout being pumped into the voids in the eastbound and westbound SR 54 travel lanes.

Lane closures will be needed for this work and are planned on SR 54 from 9 a.m. to 4/5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, except for one weekend where double lane closures will be needed around-the-clock. Eastbound SR 54 will be more impacted than westbound as most of the lane closures and work areas will be on the south side (eastbound lanes) of the corridor. Work is expected to begin April 14th and is anticipated to be concluded by late-May, early-June 2025.

The lane closures will be posted on this page each week and sent to alert subscribers. If you aren't on this list, be sure to click on the blue box link on this page labeled "Sign up to receive email alerts for this project."
