About
Construction activities have begun as part of the State Road 60 (Kennedy Boulevard) repaving project from Woodlynne Avenue to Brevard Avenue in Tampa.
Additional improvements include replacing the drainage system, updating curb ramps and sidewalks to ADA standards, and installing new traffic signals at Habana Avenue, Fremont Avenue, and Oregon Avenue.
Work is taking place during daytime and nighttime hours. Temporary lane closures on Kennedy Boulevard may occur nightly from 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., along with side street closures for drainage installation work.
To construct the project, heavy machinery is used during daytime and nighttime hours, and at times, may produce construction noises, vibrations, and even require the use of bright lights.
Access to driveways, sidewalks, and side streets (via temporary detour route) continues to be maintained during this project.
Motorists are reminded to use caution when traveling through the work zone and remain alert for pedestrians and construction workers.
This project is expected to finish in the spring of 2027.
