About

Construction activities are ongoing as part of the State Road 60 (Kennedy Boulevard) repaving and drainage improvement project from Woodlynne Avenue to Brevard Avenue in Tampa.

Improvements include resurfacing the roadway, replacing the drainage system, updating curb ramps and sidewalks to ADA standards, and installing new traffic signals at Habana Avenue, Fremont Avenue, and Oregon Avenue.

Work is taking place during daytime and nighttime hours. Temporary lane closures on Kennedy Boulevard may occur at night from 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., along with side street closures for drainage installation work.

To construct the project, heavy machinery is being used during daytime and nighttime hours and may at times produce construction noise and vibrations, and require the use of bright lights.

Access to driveways, sidewalks, and side streets (via temporary detour route) continues to be maintained.

Motorists are reminded to use caution when traveling through the work zone and remain alert for pedestrians, cyclists, and construction workers.

This project is expected to finish in late 2027.
