About

This project will build a pedestrian overpass over SR 54 as part of the Suncoast Trail. 

The existing Suncoast Trail will be reconstructed to accommodate the overpass and will also maintain a street-level crossing for pedestrians and bicyclists to cross SR 54

Construction is anticipated to begin June 22, 2026.

Closures
  • Suncoast Trail Trailhead to close June 22nd

    Odessa -- The Suncoast Trail Trailhead, located at the end of Touchpoint Drive on the north side of SR 54 in Pasco County, is scheduled to be closed beginning Monday, June 22, 2026. The closure is expected to be in place until the end of the project, which is anticipated in summer 2027.
