Design Cost $3.4 million

The purpose of this project is to mill, resurface, and make complete street pedestrian and safety improvements to the corridor.

The complete street improvements include relocating the curb line on the east side of Tampa Street in select locations to generally narrow the lane widths and widen the sidewalk on the east side of Tampa Street.

Additionally, bulb-outs will be constructed in areas with on-street parking, new pedestrian crossings will be installed at 7th Avenue on Florida Avenue, and at Fortune Street on Tampa Street.

The project also supports planned projects by HART, including a Bus Rapid Transit system, and a Light Rail extension.
