About
This project is repaving SR 679 (Pinellas Bayway) from north of Bunces Pass bridge to north of Madeira Circle in Tierra Verde. In addition to repaving the road, left turn lanes and separated bicycle lanes will be added. A signalized mid-block crossing on SR 679 at Sand Point Drive (13th Street SE) will be added along the corridor.
Construction is underway and is expected to be complete in the summer of 2023.
The contractor has temporarily closed the two-way bike trail along the east side of Pinellas Bayway S until permanent pavement markings and signs are installed.
