ACTIVE STATE OF EMERGENCY

As Florida continues to recover from Hurricane Helene, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is also actively monitoring Hurricane Milton.

Interstate lane closures and operations on active construction projects within the projected path of the storm have been suspended.

Contractors on these construction projects are currently securing work sites, clearing traffic control devices
that are not actively being used to direct traffic, and checking drainage systems.

This project will repave US 19 (Suncoast Boulevard) from NE 1st Street to the south of Snug Harbor Road in Crystal River.  

Design activities are underway. Construction is currently anticipated to begin in late 2025.

**UPCOMING PUBLIC MEETING**
Join us for our project public meeting on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. at the Citrus County Chamber of Commerce, located at 915 N. Suncoast Boulevard, Crystal River, Florida 34429. Attendees will review proposed median modification displays and have the opportunity to submit comments and speak with the project team. 

Interested parties who are unable to attend in-person may participate virtually Wednesday, August 28, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and register at https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/6007716581660842584 (webinar ID: 287-141-883) to attend virtually and view the project video, followed by an opportunity for comments and questions with the project team.
