As of January 29, 2026, all construction activities associated with this project have been completed.  

This project milled and repaved SR 54 from east of Gunn Highway to east of Crossings Boulevard (Odessa area of Pasco County) to preserve and extend the life of the pavement. It also included safety modifications and ADA facility improvements along SR 54.

Black Lake Road was also repaved as part of this project.

Minor drainage and signing/pavement marking work took place. All improvements were made within the existing rights-of-way.

Construction began June 23, 2025.
