As of this early morning, Saturday, November 22, 2025, State Road 39 to the north of State Road 60 is now open to traffic in Plant City.
Motorists should remain alert to changing driving conditions, construction workers, and pedestrians as this intersection is still an active work zone.

The Florida Department of Transportation contractor is repaving SR 60 from west of SR 39 to west of Clarence Gordon Jr. Road in Hillsborough County.
In addition, this project is replacing the intersection's asphalt pavement with concrete at SR 60 and SR 39 and modifying two median openings on SR 60. These closures will improve safety and bring the road up to current access design standards along the corridor.
Construction activities are expected to finish during fall 2026.
