As of August 3, 2023, all construction activities associated with this project have been completed.  

This safety project will enhance operational improvements at three separate locations in Citrus, Pasco, and Pinellas counties. 

Improvements include:

  • Extending the left-turn lane on SR 39 (Paul Buchman Highway) at CR 535 (Chancey Road) in Pasco County
  • Widening to improve the curb radius at Highway 44 (Main Street) and CR 581 (Pleasant Grove Road) in Citrus County
  • Adding stop bar to the intersection of SR 584 (Tampa Road) and SR 580 in Pinellas County

Construction is expected to be completed in fall 2023.
