- New Traffic Pattern Coming to US 301 and Big Bend Road
  Riverview, FL – Beginning this week, a new traffic pattern will shift all travel lanes on US 301 to the west side of the road and through the Big Bend Road (County Road 672) intersection in Riverview.
  The new traffic pattern will provide two travel lanes on northbound and southbound US 301, allowing the next phase of construction to begin on the east side of the roadway. This traffic pattern will continue through the summer of 2027.
  To avoid congestion and traffic delays, motorists may want to consider alternate routes (Gibsonton Drive and Sun City Center Boulevard). Drivers are reminded to slow down, stay alert, and drive safely through the work zone.
  The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is widening Big Bend Road (CR 672) between Simmons Loop and US 301 to a six-lane divided roadway and replacing the intersection’s existing asphalt pavement with a concrete surface at US 301 and Big Bend Road in Hillsborough County.

- CR 575 to reopen and Trilby Road to close at US 301
  Trilby / Lacoochee – Beginning Sunday night, November 8 into the morning of Monday, November 9, temporary changes are planned at the US 301 intersection with CR 575 and Trilby Road, weather permitting. The traffic pattern changes will take place between 7 p.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday.
  1. CR 575 (formerly SR 575) on the east side of US 301 will reopen to traffic. This intersection has been closed since early March 2026 to construct the east side of a new roundabout at the US 301 intersection.
  2. A 350-foot-long section of Trilby Road west of US 301 will close and remain closed until approximately spring 2027 to allow crews to build the west side of the roundabout.
  The detours for the impacted traffic movements will be as follows:
  - Northbound US 301 – south of US 98 – to westbound Trilby Road: Turn left onto US 98 and go north on US 98 to Trilby Road at the roundabout.
  - Northbound US 301 – north of US 98 – to westbound Trilby Road: Continue past Trilby Road on US 301. Turn left onto SR 50 and go west. Turn left onto US 98 (McKethan Road) and go south to Trilby Road at the roundabout.
  - Southbound US 301 to westbound Trilby Road: Continue past Trilby Road. Turn right and go north on US 98 to Trilby Road at the roundabout.
  - Eastbound Trilby Road to US 301: At the roundabout, go south on US 98 to US 301.
  - Eastbound Trilby Road to eastbound CR 575 (where it can’t cross US 301 due to the closure): At the roundabout, go south on US 98 to US 301. Turn left and go north on US 301. Turn right onto CR 575.
  - Westbound CR 575 to Trilby Road (where it can’t cross US 301 onto Trilby Road due to the closure): Turn left onto US 301 and go south. Turn right onto US 98 and go north to Trilby Road at the roundabout.

  US 301 traffic will not be impacted by the closure. Drivers using or connecting to Trilby Road are advised to plan a little extra time into their plans to travel through the detour routes.
- CR 575 CLOSED at US 301
  Trilby/Lacoochee – CR 575 (formerly SR 575) is closed on the east side of US 301, as of March 2, 2026. The closure is needed to build the east side of a new roundabout at the intersection. The closure is expected to be in place into the first week of November 2026. CR 575 will remain open to local traffic east of the closure at US 301.
  DETOURS: Drivers can access CR 575 by taking Cummer Road to Bower Road to CR 575. Access will also remain available from SR 50 (Cortez Blvd) by going south on Burwell Road (Hernando CR 575) which turns into Pasco County CR 575 at Lacoochee Clay Sink Road.
